LifeLock Command Center™
LifeLock Command Center™ is a more robust version of the company's basic identity theft coverage. The LifeLock™ coverage is different than many of their competitors' products as they don't offer continual credit bureau monitoring. You can order an annual credit report through them (which you could do on your own for free anyway) but their main focus is on non-bureau related identity theft.
LifeLock's services also focus on internet searches for clients' names and personal information.
Lifelock™ Features
LifeLock Command Center™ offers the following services:
- Personal Breach Detection Service - the internet is monitored for your name or other personal information to ensure that it is not being used illegally.
- Identity SDS (Search, Detect, Secure) Service - the service monitors non-bureau public information for changes to your identifiers, such as payday loans, court records and other addresses attached to your information.
- TrueAddress™ - monitors the USPS database for any changes to your address.
- WalletLock™ - like many competitive services, LifeLock™ has a lost wallet service to help you quickly notify your banks and credit card companies in the event your wallet is misplaced or stolen.
- Reduction of pre-approved credit card offers - the company will add your name to do not mail lists to reduce the opportunities for thieves to take out credit cards in your name (you could also do this yourself for free).
- eRecon™ - LifeLock™ monitors criminal websites known for buying and selling personal information to ensure that your Social Security number and other identifiers are not being trafficked.
- $1 million guarantee - like several other services, LifeLock™ will help you to recover from any identity theft that occurs while you are a member. The $1 million (maximum) may be spent on replacing lost funds, hiring a lawyer or an accountant to trace the theft or other tools to restore your credit and your reputation.
